Lincoln Heritage Council

The Lincoln Heritage Council is one of the largest and most successful Boy Scout councils in the country and delivers a variety of essential programs to 26,000 youth throughout 64 counties in Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, and Tennessee. We work to foster the character development, worldwide citizenship, and the moral, mental, and physical fitness of young people. We offer traditional programs, such as, Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, and Venturing, along with innovative outreach programs that serve disadvantaged urban youth.

Del-Mar-Va Council

Provided leadership to team of 31 staff members. The Del-Mar-Va Council provides Scouting opportunities throughout the Del-Mar-Va Peninsula, serving over 3,500 volunteers who are delivering the promise to over 10,000 youth in traditional Scouting programs. The Council covers fourteen counties and is divided into 8 Scouting districts. Team Del-Mar-Va is proud of achieving five consecutive years of membership growth during my tenure as Scout Executive/CEO.

Greater Atlanta Area

Provided energetic leadership to a diverse team of 40 staff members. Led youth recruiting and retention efforts resulting in 17 continuous quarters of traditional membership growth. Achieved Friends of Scouting goal of $2.1 million each year.

I managed a team of four Development Directors, a Marketing Director, three clerical staff and two accounting specialists. Responsibilities included: developing and managing $8.4 million council budget, capital campaign, endowment, Friends of Scouting, special events, marketing, United Way relationship, and popcorn sale.Gave direct leadership to intial phase of successful $15 million capital campaign. Partnering with top level community leaders at AT&T and Coca-Cola started two new special events that in 2010 netted $530,000.
