Directly responsible for renewable energy development in 8 states including Midwest ISO and SPP markets, and for annual G&A budget of approximately $25 million.• Expanded Midwest renewable energy pipeline from 800 MW to 20,000 MW in response to successful extension of wind Production Tax Credit and solar Investment Tax Credit.• Developed over 1,200 MW of wind and solar generation assets since 2013 representing over $1.8 billion of capital investment.• Negotiated over 2,500 MW of Power Purchase Agreements and Purchase and Sale Agreements with various customers throughout entire country for renewable generation assets that will come online from 2019 through 2021.• Negotiated over 1,290 MW of Repower contracts ($1 billion capital investments) with existing customers for 13 older wind farms that allowed NextEra to upgrade existing project and capture recent technology advancements and improved component designs to increase efficiency and reliability.• Partnered with state regulatory affairs to help shape state legislative policy in all development areas; sat on Renewable Portfolio Standard Task Force to help reshape Michigan’s future energy policy.

Represented NextEra Energy in all facets of federal government affairs in Washington D.C. with direct oversight for lobbying on all issues relevant to company to ensure best outcome regarding federal policies and laws.• Worked directly with Edison Electric Institute, Nuclear Energy Industry, Chamber of Commerce and American Wind Energy Association to ensure key stakeholders were educated on key initiatives and able to advocate in support of NextEra Energy’s interests• Developed strategy and led cross-functional team to ensure 2012-2013 extension of wind Production Tax Credit. Extension of Wind PTC provided billions of dollars of additional investment opportunities for NextEra Energy and other renewable energy developers in industry.• Oversaw all activities regarding political programs including NextEra’s Political Action Committee (PAC). Developed and led 2013 PAC campaign; recruited over 200 PAC Ambassadors and leveraged to increase PAC membership 38% in 1 year – largest single growth year in last 10 years.

Directly responsible for South Dakota, Iowa and Michigan wind energy markets with G&A annual budget of approximately $2.5 million.• Developed NextEra Energy Resources' first wind farm in Michigan in 2012.• Negotiated over 220 MW of Power Purchase Agreements and established long-term relationship with key customers (e.g. Detroit Edison) positioning NextEra to become the dominate asset developer in region.• Successfully developed 100 MW of wind in South Dakota in 2010.• Led developer due diligence for 150 MW acquisition in 2010.• Led resource constrained cross functional organization to more efficiently align internal resources to meet critical project schedule and milestones.• Called to Washington D.C. to leverage industry knowledge and prior military combat experience to lobby Congress for extension of critical renewable energy tax policy.

Led 236-person team in Iraq providing maintenance support for 4,000-person brigade combat team, employing and maintaining 98 vehicles and $50 million of assets.• Led team that provided maintenance support for brigade combat team; achieved lowest maintenance backlog in Iraq, contributing to mission success during Operation Iraqi Freedom; awarded Bronze Star Medal.• Designed new logistics convoy procedures; resulted in driving 25,000 miles in Iraq with 0 casualties.• Developed $20 million excess equipment reduction program; recognized as “Best” program in First Armored Division.• Created positive leadership environment in Iraq; achieved 200% of reenlistment goal, “Best” in battalion and rated by brigade commander in “Top” 5% of 31 company commanders.

Responsible for planning and coordinating logistics support for 5 US Division and 2 Multinational Divisions in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.• Developed fuel and water support package for 168,000-person Corps that contributed to mission success in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom; awarded Bronze Star Medal.• Forged first-ever logistics support package for Polish Multinational Division supporting over 36 nations.• Partnered with civil affair brigade; designed water purification plan to deliver water to 450,000 Iraqis.• Synchronized logistics support package for First Brigade, First Armored Division 5-week exercise; contributed to mission success in Iraq.

Led 5-person team planning/executing logistics support for 419-person water supply battalion with $43 million in equipment. Managed $816,000 budget. Coordinated and negotiated to have new equipment shipped to unit, saving over $78,000. Developed equipment tracking system, contributing to successful deployment to Egypt. Attended 6 months Logistics Career Course (Honor Graduate) and 8 weeks Petroleum & Water Officer Course.

Second in command of 129-person Quartermaster company. Led 26-person team maintaining/providing logistics support for 12 vehicles/equipment worth $10 million. Led preparation of water purification combat equipment at Sierra Army Depot, CA; recognized by base commander as “Best” team in 10 years. Redesigned inspection preparation plan; achieved “Commendable” rating during Division inspection. Created water purification equipment part suppliers network; provided part that military could not obtain.

Led 44-person team providing water supply support for 16,000-person 3rd Infantry Division. Responsible for employing and maintaining 26 vehicles and equipment worth $2.7 million. Developed water distribution plan; laid 4 miles of water pipe/pumped 7.5 million gallons of water in Egypt. Created improved battalion movement plan, streamlining process and saving over 4 days. Led preparation for battalion deployment to Haiti in support of successful humanitarian water mission. Attended 5 months Logistics Officer Basic Course (Distinguished Graduate - #1 in class).
