Leading a global team of developers to design and integrate IBM AI and Cloud technologies for our strategic partner's products in the digital payments space.

Led a global development organization of 300+ building AI-infused IT management software for hybrid clouds: the IBM Cloud Pak for Watson AI Ops. We built on our experience and leadership in managing cloud-native, Kubernetes-based environments, and extended that back into traditional data center environments to accelerate our clients' modernization projects leveraging AI, natural language processing and automation. I managed the development of the foundational layers (infrastructure management, multi-cloud management, UI, SRE tooling) and Observability, and functions related to Install, CICD, SaaS, SRE, Program Management and Support.

Developed the next generation of IBM Cloud for on-prem, hybrid and multi-cloud deployments. My global team of 60 engineers owned the infrastructure layer, including the Kubernetes core.

I led the global development team building container management software for Docker based on Kubernetes and Mesos. My team led the IBM contributions to Mesos where we held the #2 spot.

Responsible for global development of our "Data Center Operating System" technology strategy, including both proprietary and open source (Mesos, Docker, OpenStack, Kubernetes) software. Plus ownership of Program Management, Engineering Lab and Development Operations.

Following acquisition by IBM, led the Program Management, Engineering Lab (Development IT) and Operations (budgeting, staffing, tax credits) functions through the integration process. We re-released all our products as IBM-branded versions within six months time and met an aggressive Transfer of Business schedule. Over the next several years, we gradually implemented all IBM's development practices with minimal impact to development efficiency.

Reporting to the VP of Products (R&D), I led the Program Management function, the Engineering Lab (R&D's IT department), and Engineering Operations (including tax credits, software licensing, and patents). My team managed all new product releases coming out of the 300-strong R&D group and supported all critical customer POCs and deployments where an R&D component was involved.
