My 20+ year insurance career has spanned many disciplines, including significant work in the area of group captives. The Horton Group features two such captives (construction and non-construction), and I have been instrumental in various leadership roles, including captive formation and design, placing new companies into the groups and managing for financial results. Horton now has 35+ accounts in group captives.I also have expertise in the medical space, including ground-level work with hospitals and physician groups. Within Horton/ Medical Arts, we address all of the insurance needs for this industry space, including Medical Malpractice, Workers’ Compensation, Property/Liability, Management Liability (Directors & Officers, Fiduciary, EPL), Cyber Liability, Automobile, Excess and other miscellaneous coverage lines. Horton / Medical Arts currently insures more than 1,800 physicians in our niche practice.Prior to joining The Horton Group in 1997, I obtained extensive underwriting experience at a prominent national insurance company.
