As a Conference & Event Services Director, I provide strategic leadership and hands-on management of operations of a $32M revenue-generating 12-week summer conference program and year-round catering and events with 6,000 sleeping rooms and 80,000 square feet of meeting space. I own the property-wide strategies and execute a $4M budget to provide a gateway to premier facilities and memorable experiences through comprehensive event planning services for UCLA and the greater community. I establish service standards and coordinate senior managers (dining, security, housekeeping, parking, meeting rooms, and maintenance) to ensure delivery of best-in-class services during summer and academic-year operations. As a Sales Director, I developed and executed sales and marketing strategies for conference services to maximize revenue and increase brand awareness. I closely cooperated with LA Tourism Board and local hotels to prospect and exploit new business opportunities. I consistently worked on developing organizational culture and improving performance and operational efficiency. Thus, I created and introduced innovative leadership development programs for the H&HS division, student staff professional training program, and a 2-week summer HS business program in collaboration with UCLA Extension. During my tenure, I conceptualized and led an improvement initiative that resulted in the CA Council for Excellence silver award. I also introduced sustainable practices and products in catering operations which enabled reaching zero waste goals.

In the position of Director of West Coast Operations, I handled all aspects of program operations for five distinct programs with over 1,000 participants and 150 seasonal staff across UCLA, UCSB, and UCSD campuses. I developed and executed targeted sales and marketing plans to drive west coast sales. I also directed transportation across 3 UC campuses as well as transit operations with the daily movement of up to 500 people. In this role, I also planned and produced social and athletic events.
