As an instructor, entrepreneur, and fitness enthusiast, I have a diverse range of skills, including leadership, coaching, training, and brand development. With a decade and a half of teaching experience, and as the founder of an online fitness company called Farmer Gym, I have a proven track record in academia and entrepreneurship. I'm currently working as a Student Success Advisor at Florida State University, where I help students develop the necessary skills for workplace success. Additionally, I serve as an Adjunct Instructor at Des Moines Area Community College and Concordia University, St. Paul.Three Notable Achievements:(1) Founder of Farmer Gym: I established Farmer Gym, an online fitness company that has been operating for over a decade. Through this venture, I’ve written and published ten fitness books and created a multifunctional exercise equipment called The Bale. My expertise in operations, financials, brand strategy, and marketing has contributed to the growth and success of Farmer Gym. Notably, my business was recognized as the Business of the Month by Iowa State University, Ivy College of Business in October 2021.(2) Teaching Experience: My teaching experience spans 15 years. As an Adjunct Instructor at Des Moines Area Community College, I have taught various business-related courses, including Introduction to Business, International Business, Personal Finance, Business Math, and Administrative Support Basics. My expertise extends to curriculum development where I played a significant role in creating the course curriculum for the Financial Services Academy, which prepared students for entry-level financial services positions.(3) Student Success Advisor: I’m currently working at Florida State University, where I serve as a Student Success Advisor. In this role, I bridge the gap between students' current situations and their desired goals by delivering course lectures and providing one-on-one collaboration. I focus on teaching skills related to business etiquette, career planning, personal branding, professional communication, and sustainable goal setting. It's my goal to help students navigate the workplace and succeed in their chosen fields. In 2023, I was recognized as the We Choose Excellence Award recipient in March and the Esprit De Corps Award in May.This summation highlights my expertise as an instructor, entrepreneur, and mentor. My achievements in founding and growing Farmer Gym, my teaching experience across multiple institutions, and my dedication to helping students succeed are significant contributions to my career.
