In July 2023 I was appointed Executive Vice President of Shell Lubricants, the leading global supplier of finished lubricants across the consumer, commercial and industrial sectors. My role is to help Shell Lubricants maintain its market-leading position and to further extend its competitive advantage through its scale, brand equity, superior product portfolio, technological leadership, and customer relationships. I lead Shell Lubricants in its critical role supporting Shell's target of becoming a net-zero emissions energy business by 2050, and in enabling customers to reduce their own carbon footprint. Previously, I was Executive Chairman of Shell Companies in China, during which time I delivered Shell’s Powering Progress strategy in the Country by driving integrated value across the company. I originally joined Shell in Hong Kong back in 1994, and over 29 years in the business I have held a wide range of international, regional, local and JV management roles. I have held posts in all of Shell’s Downstream businesses, including the VP Global Specialities (Bitumen and Sulphur) and VP China Downstream New Business Development leadership positions – and my current role is my third in Shell Global Lubricants. Through these different roles I am proud to have reinvented business models that have enabled our global and local businesses to grow at speed and to have led teams through significant changes, including around health and safety and customer centricity. Born and raised in Hong Kong, I am married with two sons and now based in Singapore. In my spare time I recharge myself through travel and fitness training.
