Responsible for maintaining an accurate and secure record of all land transactions in Lake County. Assist former United States Service Members by recording their discharge documents (DD Form 214). Record Living Wills and Health Care Powers of Attorney, as well as all other documents permitted by the Ohio Revised Code.

Appointed by Judges of the Lake County Common Pleas Court at the reccomendation of the Lake County Prosecutor to handle cases including felony prosecutions, child welfare cases, and child support cases when the Lake County Prosecutor has a conflict that prevents him from proceeding.

Served as full-time Magistrate with a general docket. Decided cases related to child abuse and neglect, contested custody matters, paternity cases, and a full range of juvenile offenses. Responsible for external communications and media relations. Assisted in the court's development and implementation of innovative new programming during a time of shrinking budgets. Assured court compliance with various statutory and Supreme Court guidelines. Advised court staff on legal issues affecting their programs.

Began as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in the Juvenile Division, but was promoted to the felony division after 8 months of work as an attorney. In the juvenile division, prosecuted juvenile delinquents, and represented the Lake County Department of Job and Family Services in child welfare matters. In the felony division, prosecuted Lake County's worst criminals for such offenses as murder, rape, burglary, drug trafficking, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
