I am a graduate of the University of Central Florida, with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and a history of success in my field. I would like to bring my enthusiasm for problem-solving and passion for engineering to the industry. Here are some of my specific qualifications that distinguish me from my peers: Engineering Knowledge: In addition to my distinguished academic performance, I also have the cumulative engineering experience of three generations of engineers, which have sharpened my own critical thinking and engineering instinct. I have developed an engineer’s mindset from an early age, which I have applied to my everyday life. Organizational Skills: Many of my personal projects require me to be extremely focused and results-driven. I routinely employ strict organizational techniques to ensure my tasks are completed in a timely manner.Communication and Teamwork: Throughout my career I worked alongside many people of various perspectives toward a common goal, which demanded effective communication and leadership. During college, my teamworking skills afforded my team and I the edge we needed to earn first prize in our intercollegiate competition. During my time with GP Strategies, I regularly met with engineers, clients, and vendors to ensure efficient progression along the Critical Path. At my current position, I work closely with a team of drafters and designers to overcome complex engineering challenges in a timely manner.Computer Aided Design: While a Mechanical Engineer with GP Strategies, part of my duties involved drafting designs and diagrams using AutoCAD 3D. At Cyclonaire, I currently use SolidWorks to create models of weldments, assemblies, and plant layouts. Additionally, I regularly use SolidWorks to design and print various trinkets and mechanisms on my personal 3D printer.Technical Talent: My exposure to various software programs and programming languages have predisposed me to a quick and adaptive understanding of many useful computer-related features, including Microsoft Office, Computer-Aided Design, and various programming languages. In addition to my history of academic and professional success, my willingness to develop professionally and widen my talent base guarantees endless potential for growth so that I will become even more valuable throughout my career. Even now, I have been continually expanding my skillset by acquiring various technical certifications and bolstering my professional portfolio with personal projects so that I will be fully prepared for any challenge.
