Responsible to handle Contractor Invoicing, Change Order estimation, Contracts, Reporting, KPI management etc.

I was working for a Saudi Aramco's Offshore project which involves EPCI of offshore platform and topside facilities and the connecting subsea pipelines as well as cables. It is a multimillion dollar project which involves greenfield as well as brownfield works

On joining Saipem, Sharjah,I was given a preliminary training in an Offshore Facilities project for nearly 5 months. Later, I was assigned to a FEED Development project of Saudi Aramco' offshore platforms and related subsea facilities as a Lead Cost Controller.I started the process of monitoring the Engineering Manhours on fortnightly basis. This helped the Engineering Department Leads to understand their progress related to spent manhours thus leaving minimum chances of surprises of budget overrun at later stages of the project.

As I joined the project, I was assigned the responsibility of preparation of Invoicing Procedures, Invoicing Plans, Forecasts related to Manpower , Machinery and Material. Follow up with the client for timely payments of the Invoices was also a part of my job responsibility. There were issues related to increase of statutory taxes which I well took care of and invoicing procedure for claiming the difference was prepared by me. To highlight my achievement, I promoted the work unit rate basis contracts instead of manpower daily rate contracts to increase the efficiency of the contractors

This was my first project with Exxon Mobil as the owner of facility and FWP (Foster Wheeler - Worley Parsons JV) as our client. I started the whole process starting from the issuance of work order of Site office set up, bank guarantees etc. As this project was mainly a construction project, I prepared the manpower and machinery requirement forecasts in line with discussions with the Construction Manager and his team. This was a Brownfield job due to which there were a lot of additional work and I was responsible to get the Variation order for the same from the client. The project involved 2 major shutdowns in which I ensured that all the additional third party as well internal facilities are available on a phone call so that we do not waste time for their arrangement during the Shutdown period. I used to actively take part in meetings in which I used to assist the Project Control Manager to highlight the areas of concern to the client as well as answer to the queries of the client.
