I am an ex tennis professional player, then coach, then teacher... but now an author/illustrator. I have written a fantasy adventure for children called The Kingdom of Gems trilogy and launched a new career. In all I have done and now do, I have always enjoyed being creative.As well as writing the books, I illustrated them, designed the covers with my son, created the layout... everything... and then published them myself. The Kingdom of Gems trilogy has reached the shelves of most Waterstones, the big British book chain with over 300 stores. Sales are growing well. It has also attracted major film interest. I have visited over 60 schools where the book sales are excellent, showing that the book is hugely popular with children. However, it has not been taken up by a publisher (except in Turkey) despite its proven record and huge potential!I have developed my fantasy world of The Kingdom of Gems by creating a detailed history reaching back from the present trilogy. This includes a timeline, maps and additional short stories which go on a membership site for fans called KOGworld. It is a trilogy of books with all sorts of possibilities for further development... eg films, merchandice, cartoons, computer games etc. The potential is great!My goal is simple: to keep writing, painting and illustrating. Also, I will enjoy the day when I sit down in the cinema to watch the films of my trilogy!
