Current• Analysis of machine performance across hardware and software subsystems. This includes identification of malfunctioning hardware and control algorithms as well as the implementation of containments to mitigate the impact of failures. Methods range from dispositioning error logs to studying raw sensor data and trends in derived performance metrics.• Technical and non-technical writing and presentations. Includes construction of complex service sequences with detailed instructions for in-fab engineers, written guides for technical and non-technical material, and delivery of seminars (in-person and remote, self-authored and otherwise). Also includes delivery of highly technical material to engineers, management, and a demanding end customer, frequently created and presented under tight time constraints.• Developing software (from scratch or atop existing code) to analyze data and aid in operational tasks. Includes programming in Python, MATLAB, and some VBA, interfacing with APIs, and visualization in Excel and Spotfire. Examples include tools to parse system logs, PLC signals, and worklists.• Start and maintain dialogues with design engineers, procedure writers, and service engineers to identify problematic parts, procedures, and system behaviors. This culminates in the rollout of structural solutions towards engineers and operational personnel, requiring education and ongoing support.• Development of workflows, and rollout of those processes to tens or hundreds of individuals in the engineering and operations realms. Examples include the process by which sequences for machine repair are created and reviewed and the method by which machine defects are tracked and visualized.• Key user on multiple Agile development projects to build site- and company-wide software releases. Includes close involvement with development teams for determining functionality and workflow, and to do early testing on developed functionality.
