Fidra is a charity based in East Lothian, Scotland. We seek to find ways to engage local concerns over current and emerging environmental issues, and use this to contribute to wider dialogue at national and international levels.We use scientific evidence and research best practice to establish how best to influence positive environmental change.I am currently working on a number of projects, addressing the issue of plastic pollution and to help prevent further sources of marine litter. I lead the Cotton Bud Project in engagement with public and stakeholders (retailers, industry, NGO's, policy makers) as well as support on The Great Nurdle Hunt by maintaining important stakeholder relationships through regular communications with a wide range of companies from the local and Scottish plastics industry, as well as larger retailers. For both projects I maintain our social media presence and website updates. Where appropriate, I represent the organisation at external events and forums.

RSPB is europe’s largest conservation charity working to secure a healthy environment for birds and all wildlife, through conservation, education and policy.Within this role I built a reputation as a highly regarded and competent member of staff. Formed professional relationships across the organisation, setting up meetings, giving presentations and acting on agreed tasks and project work.
