Certified Substitute Teacher
CurrentWith the Madison school district I immediately signed up for a long-term subbing job as a Reading Interventionist at Southside Elementary School. This position is full-time for its duration. This position requires me to work with students individually and in small groups. My primary reasonability is to implement a unique learning plan tailored for each student. Specifically, working with students to improve specific reading skills such as letter naming, initial sounds, and phoneme segmentation. The importance of reading skills for students of all ages cannot be overstated. The skills I have learned as a reading interventionist will serve me well in my future classroom. Once this position ends, I will continue subbing on a day-by-day basis or I will pick up another long-term position.
