Public Allies is an Americorps program that has a unique focus on Race and Equity. After a year of being defunct in Maryland, Baltimore Corps decided to revive the program that had made such a difference to community residents. My role with Public Allies of Maryland is expansive and encompassing. I was tasked with being on the team to help re-launch Public Allies in Maryland. That meant that I was responsible for interviewing potential applicants and prepping them for our matching fair.Another major responsibility was creating and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that covered both Baltimore Corps values and Public Allies.

Baltimore Corps enlists talent to advance social innovation in Baltimore and establish a citywide agenda for equity and racial justice. My role as Partnerships Associate is tied directly to our mission. I am responsible for recruiting Visionary Cause Leaders, which are organizations that host a Fellow and I am also responsible for recruiting organizations for Place for Purpose, Baltimore Corps newest tool to help talent meet opportunity. I am also responsible for managing relationships, building infrastructures, talent recruitment, and community outreach.

Cara Connects is one of Cara's social enterprise's that drives the mission of the organization through placing select students in temporary positions throughout the city with our highly valued partners.My role as a Staffing Account Manager, was to manage payroll, manage partner relationships, and make placements.

Cara is a workforce development agency that makes its impact in the city of Chicago. What separates Cara from other agencies in the city is the emphasis it puts on motivating its students to overcome the difficulties of life through its month long Transformations program. My role at Cara as a Corporate Account Manager allowed me to directly impact Cara's strategic plan by recruiting partner organizations to hire or train our students. Some of the organizations I built relationships with include ABM, Eataly, and Hilton Hotels. Outside of building partnerships, I was responsible for interview prep and teaching job readiness classes. My role as a CAM also allowed me to get involved with several coalitions such as LISC and the Chicago Workforce Partnership to help employ our citizen's residents!
