As a Space Resources Consultant, I provide expert advice and guidance to clients who are interested in exploring, developing, and utilizing the resources of outer space. I help them plan, design, and execute space mining missions that are feasible, profitable, and sustainable. I also help them evaluate the technical, economic, legal, and ethical aspects of their projects.

SpaceGold Corporation is a group of accredited Scientists and Engineers who have collaborated to design, build, and launch satellites equipped with proven solar pumped technology to mine resources available in space. SpaceGold Corporation uses non-mechanical, non-chemical techniques to effectively excavate and process the materials off-world taking advantage of the aides being offered by the physics in space, namely vacuum and higher intensities of solar energy.

During an 8-month contract, I played a pivotal role as a portfolio management team member, overseeing and leading ongoing projects under the program "Fusion," aimed at enhancing the employee experience across Qualcomm's branches in 42 countries. Overseeing a dynamic portfolio of 2-8 projects, I successfully managed the closure of 3 projects, witnessed 3 projects evolve, and ensured the continued progress of 2 projects. These initiatives primarily focused on automation and IT infrastructure migration, involving platforms like ServiceNow, Workday, and ADP, with the ultimate goal of elevating the overall user experience on a global scale for both Qualcomm and its merged and acquired entities.

Worked with the Solvent Extraction (SX) team in Morenci Mine. We were dealing with millions of gallonsof aqueous and organic flow running into the plants. This job included:- Running SX train and morning reports.- Modeling SX plants with MEUM software – Solvay.- Monitoring and ordering diluent and reagents for 4 SX plants.- Running weekly and end of the month Reagent and Diluent Inventory (RDI) report.- Doing PM’s for Atomic Absorption machine and Titrators in 4 SX plants.- Taking and analyzing the stage efficiency and entrainment samples.- Monitoring SX trains and problem-solving suggestions to supervisors.

Worked at leaching department as a ROM metallurgist. Purpose of project was to identify parameterscausing low production in one of stockpiles using inter-lift sampler and available data on the stockpilehistory. The project included:- Collecting Mine, Leaching, and GIS data to create a combined database for the stockpile- Set up an inter-lift sampler and taking daily samples.- Comparing PLS data and sampler data to have a better resolution from lower lifts.- Identifying the problem using historical data, inter-lift sampler data, and PLS data.Selected for the Freeport McMoRan intern’s day presentation.

Assisted Dr. Metin Yildirim in 2015 and Dr. Victor Tenorio in 2016 for the Mining Equipment course.Mineral Processing Lab representative in 2016.

Worked with a UofA Mineral Processing Lab to improve the strength of the Geopolymer structure made from fly ash and mine tailings. While Portland cement concrete has a compressive strength of 20-40 MPa, a geopolymer structured in the lab could resist up to 60 MPa of compressive pressure. With some adjustment and using small addition of chemicals like sodium silicate, I could increase this number to 120 MPa for fly ash type F and 80 MPa fly ash type C both cured at 60 degrees celsius.

Collaborated closely with the business team to conduct a comprehensive comparative analysis between the proposed Sponge Iron plants of TATA and Henan, focusing on Service Level Requirements (SLR).The primary objective of this role revolved around gaining a profound understanding of the operational intricacies of these systems and identifying the most cost-effective approach, taking into account factors such as equipment feed and product, capacity, spatial requirements, water consumption, and numerous other variables.

Mine planning is a multifaceted discipline at the heart of the mining industry, encompassing various aspects such as:- Geological Evaluation: Teaching students how to assess geological data and its implications on mining operations, including the identification of mineral deposits, ore quality, and geological risks.- Resource Estimation: Educating students on techniques for estimating mineral resources and reserves, which are fundamental for making informed investment decisions in the mining sector.- Mine Design: Guiding students through the process of designing efficient and safe mining operations, involving the layout of infrastructure, equipment selection, and ventilation systems.- Production Scheduling: Demonstrating the importance of scheduling mining activities to optimize resource extraction while considering economic and environmental factors.- Sustainability and Environmental Impact: Emphasizing the significance of sustainable mining practices and minimizing the environmental impact through responsible mine planning.- Economic Analysis: Teaching students how to perform financial evaluations, including cost estimation, revenue forecasting, and return on investment analysis, to ensure the economic viability of mining projects.- Safety Regulations: Ensuring that students understand and adhere to safety regulations and best practices in mining operations to prioritize the well-being of workers and communities.

Kovoshgaran served as a consultant at the Sarcheshmeh mine with the primary objective of acquiring knowledge about mineral processing equipment, including crushers, grinders, flotation cells, leaching heaps, and more. This knowledge was subsequently applied to data collection and optimization efforts related to these equipment types. The responsibilities within this role encompassed:Conducting data collection from the Sarcheshmeh ball mill circuit.Implementing optimization strategies to assess the impact of key factors on the particle size distribution within the Sarcheshmeh ball mill circuit.Investigating how operational variables influenced the particle size distribution of the Sarcheshmeh ball mill circuit.

With unwavering determination and a passion for personal development, I conducted 21 highly successful seminar sessions, each attended by 300-500 eager participants.
