Developed an understanding and appreciation of secure, time saving and simple technologies that allow for easy and efficient management of livestock and direct flow of information to other sectors.- Moved cattle through both rotational and strip grazing systems. Determined when cattle needed to be moved into fresh paddocks by considering rest period, pasture quality, stocking density, animal condition, weather and time of year.- Recorded scientific data daily including: mineral supplementation, paddock rest periods, average daily gain, morbidity and vaccinations. Results were later used to make recommendations to industry that improved cattle and grazing management.- Increased knowledge of temporary fences, perimeter fences, permanent and portable water systems, electric fencing systems and vaccination techniques through work experience and by referring to the OMAFRA Pasture Production publication.
