Kia ora, my name is Jasper Murray. I am in my first year of study towards a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) at the University of Canterbury, planning to major in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. I work part time as a Math Tutor at NumberWorks'n'Words Cashmere alongside my studies. Outside of my work and studies, I compete nationally and internationally in competitive Rubik's cubing as a part of the World Cubing Association and I am sponsored by SpeedCubeShop. I am a previous two-time world record holder and currently hold multiple New Zealand national records. I am a mentor to younger cubers who are getting into the sport. Beyond cubing, I also have a strong interest in music. I am currently a member of Quantum Acoustics, a competitive mixed barbershop chorus which placed 2nd across both New Zealand and Australia in 2023.I am interested in a wide variety of industries ranging from power systems and renewable energy, to robotics and software engineering. I am currently seeking summer internship opportunities for the 2024/2025 period based out of Christchurch, New Zealand.
