Met trots wil ik graag vermelden dat ik mijn afstudeerstage heb gevolgd bij het Spaarne Labs van het Spaarne Gasthuis in Hoofddorp!De komende periode van 20 weken ga ik mij richten op het bedenken van een geschikte ontwerpoplossing voor de veiligheidsrisico omtrent schoenen in de patiëntenkamers.Op dit moment is er sprake van een aanzienlijk veiligheidsrisico in de patiëntenkamers, veroorzaakt door rondslingerende schoenen. Dit vormt niet alleen een potentieel struikelgevaar voor patiënten, maar ook voor zorgpersoneel dat regelmatig de kamers betreedt voor controles of andere zorgtaken. Naast de kans op ongelukken kan de patiënt nu niet zelf bij zijn schoenen vanuit zijn bed. De schoenen liggen buiten handbereik. Dit beperkt de zelfstandigheid van de patiënten en geeft meer werk aan het zorgpersoneel.Ik ben erg enthousiast en dankbaar voor deze mooie plek om te afstuderen!

At Outform, I had the opportunity to complete a 20-week internship. Outform focuses on creating designs for the retail industry and provides advice to businesses on consumer behaviour. Within Outform, I was part of the design team to support them in their daily tasks.During my internship, I worked on my own objectives I had formulated. These objectives revolved around researching, advising, and implementing. By the end of this internship, I can confidently say that I have achieved these learning objectives. I have learned the importance of doing detailed research on the problem or target audience for whom you are designing. It is crucial to document this information, as it will always be needed. By conducting these research activities, I was able to provide advice to improve designs. I also had the opportunity to practice implementing concepts using various software programs such as Adobe and 3DS Max 2023. This allowed me to better present my ideas and effectively communicate my goals.During my internship, I completed multiple assignments for various large companies such as Yale, Google, Grohe, JBL, and Adidas. These assignments are ones that I look back on with pride and joy. The tasks ranged from conducting field research and creating concepts to organizing digital artwork. For instance, I designed a display for a new product from Grohe and Adidas, and I modified artwork using Adobe for Google, Samsung and Outform itself. In addition to these assignments for companies, I had the opportunity to delve into the use of AI. I was tasked with researching how AI can assist us in the design process and how we can utilize this tool. I created a presentation that provided a comprehensive explanation, and it has been shared multiple times within Outform to help colleagues understand AI. I also did research on the use of a 3D printer to create early prototypes and proof-of-principles. This diverse range of tasks allowed me to expand my knowledge extensively.
