Work experience in a nutshellAfter receiving my Bachelor degree in Bioinformatics at the Hanze University of Applied sciences I continued with a Master degree at the University of Groningen in Molecular biology. After which I did a PhD in molecular chronobiology and a post-doctoral in the field of micro-fluidics. CurrentlyI work as a Bio-informatics lecturer and researcher at the Hanze University of Applied sciences. Teaching students, Biology, Genetics, Statistics and Informatics. Currently I'm focussing on project management of project related to FAIR-dataAt the same time, I work for a Dutch datacenter named Bytesnet.nl. Here, I'm responsible for establishing durable collaborations, focussing on health, AI, research and education, for using our HPC-cloud. MotivatorsBuilding bridges between people from different disciplines is what motivates me in my work. My vision; Integrating knowledge and skills from different fields is important for innovative research, productive collaborations and exiting new business. I'm passionate about making complex technology available for everyone.

As being part of the LiPhos project (http://www.liphos.eu/) I work on the development of a microfluidic chip/device with integrated photonics. The application of the chip is a rapid and easy diagnostic tool to determine the cellular state (healthiness) of endothelial cells and vascular smooth muscle cells in order to determine cardiovascular diseases in patients.
