Scope of work and experience includes establishing rapport and working with colleagues from differentdepartments/specializations and vendors from conceptualization, data gathering, survey, planning, design creation, construction, and implementation.Collecting data and information to aid the design process which includes among others, determining theweight, dimensions, installation method, and maintenance requirements of the equipment, identifying the extent of expansion for an existing outdoor substation, establishing the criteria for the design, and conducting a search for relevant projects in the database.Performing design analysis by assessing the loads supported by the steel structure and conducting design calculations, either manually or using software like STAAD, for the steel structures, foundations, and other structural components in the development of a new outdoor substation, expansion of existing outdoor substation, and retrofit solutions to existing structures.Utilizing AutoCAD to create or modify design drawings depicting the operation of equipment, extract existing design drawings of the outdoor substation, and conduct revisions to accommodate the expansion requirements.Designing conceptual plans of the substation buildings with the aid of Revit.Performing a field survey to assess the current condition of the lot designated for the new outdoor substation or additional equipment, and evaluating the topography of the new outdoor substation lot through the use of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) survey equipment.Participating in pre-bid meetings as required for civil design clarifications.Checking of steel structure fabrication drawings of contractors to ensure compliance with companystandards and specifications.Coordinating with Electro-Mechanical Physical Design team regarding any revision in equipment specifications and requirements regarding any modifications in the general arrangement plan.
