I'm a transmasculine author committed to writing diverse fiction that challenges the status quo. My debut Young Adult novel, THE (UN)POPULAR VOTE, was a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection and made the 2022 ALA Rainbow Book List. In a starred review, Booklist described it as "refreshingly original." The San Francisco Chronicle named it one of "2021's Best Books for Young Adults. I also write short fiction in a variety of genres; my work has appeared in Mithila Review, Foglifter, Plenitude, and elsewhere.In addition to writing, I have editorial and marketing experience in publishing. I have also taught various subjects, including but not limited to film analysis and civics, to students at all age levels. I conducted graduated research on ideology in science fiction, fandom audience reception, and, my personal favorite, Star Trek.
