In 2013, my daughter Edie’s arrival into this world held a mirror up to my face. How could I promise her support in exploring her potential in life if I wasn’t doing enough of it myself?I engaged a wonderful coach to help me move faster, and with more clarity, than I could alone. She helped me to zoom out and break my life and career down into a number of key areas to evaluate separately. As we joined them back up, I could see how each area was connected. I developed the confidence, conviction and commitment to approach life in a more open way. I was less invested in being right, less protective of my view of the world. That gave me more room to see the opportunities in front of me, learn from my mistakes and learn from others. I’m still a work in progress. I still suffer from fear and get stuck at times, but now I have a framework and the tools to move beyond those limitations to feel free again soon after.At TRIPSTank, we don’t promise you solutions to your problems and your needs. Every person, team and organisation has different challenges, circumstances, perspectives, approaches, strengths and values. There is no ‘one size fits all’. That’s why we offer you a framework to plug into, with tools that you can use far beyond our period of support. We partner with you to evaluate where you (or your team/business) are today relative to where you want to be so you can choose the optimal way forward. When the time comes to course-correct, you’re clear on why and how. You’ve greater control of the controllable and you’re influencing the greyer areas to far greater effect.
