CV Sunflower is the parent company of Kalibre and Palazo brands that focus on bag product. My role is in the position of R&D or design division for Kalibre. Many things i've learned about bag design process started from problem solving until manufacturing. The first thing to do is to determine the starting point where the product is designed, the examples are the study of trend, need, or market demand. The next stage is to read the opportunities of the problem until the product concept is selected after a lot of design review meeting. Drawing sketches of the alternative design until determining the final design is my favorite part because it is so intimate for my feeling and passion. Then I work with the pattern maker and sample maker for realization of the design that has been planned. To create the finest design, visual sensitivity and opportunities are not enough, I have to understand the technique in bag production so that the product can be well designed and effective for designers and production division. Beside that, I work for Kalibre product of apparel and riding glove. When working on a riding glove, the required skill isn't only in problem solving and sketching. I must be able to operate the Rhino 3d software because there is some part of the product is made with the molding technique.
