Call Center Representative
CurrentProvide an essential service to the city of New York by acting as the first point of contact to several NYC agencies. Assist callers with wide range of inquiries including but not limited to trash/recycling rules, birth certificates, and government assistance programs. Fill out service request complaints to appropriate agencies.Tasks include:• Answer 80 to 120 inbound calls per day in a fast-paced environment.• Provide excellent customer service while handling confidential information.• Direct callers to the appropriate departments and agencies related to their individual needs; escalated calls to supervisors as warranted.• Engaged in active listening to ensure appropriate and relevant information was provided to caller and submitted corresponding reports for documentation purposes.• Probe callers with questions to discover their concerns and research, accordingly, to give answers or alternative solutions to their complaints.
