I have practiced employment law for more than 12 years and am currently a partner at Gunner Cooke LLP. I joined Squire Patton Boggs (Hammonds at the time) after completing my commercial pupillage and qualifying as a barrister. I started my career specialising in litigation, representing clients in tribunal. I have advised a broad range of businesses on all aspects of employment law and was involved in the high-profile Kulkarni v. Milton Keynes Hospital Trust case. I have also conducted multi-action and party claims arising from complex collective consultation programs and sensitive grievances involving discrimination.I am experienced in a wide variety of employment-related issues, including contract and policy drafting, handling disciplinary and grievance cases, dealing with flexible working requests, dealing with equal pay claims, implementing reorganization and restructuring plans, advising on insourcing and outsourcing of services involving TUPE and enforcing garden leave, confidentiality and restrictive covenant obligations. I also represents senior executives on their recruitment, remuneration and severance and are a former member of the firm's Diversity Committee and a well-known speaker on employment matters, both in-house to clients and in partnership with external organisations.Recent experience includes advising a large chemicals business on senior directors' breaches of confidence, fiduciary duties and the enforcement of restrictive covenants and confidentiality obligations and defending a 15-day employment tribunal claim involving multiparty claims arising out of a mass restructuring exercise for a large national manufacturing business.
