To proactively manage relationships with existing members and to identify potential members both in the UK and internationally. Be responsible for increasing awareness and acting as a point of contact with all parts of the music industry in order to develop member retention and acquisition.Responsibilities• Build and maintain excellent working relationships with existing and potential High profile Segment A members. Display an in-depth understanding of members requirements and needs. Interpret member queries and delegate to correct internal teams to efficiently expedite.• Work with other industry organisations (UKTI, PPL, MU etc.) to assist in promoting UK music and our writers and repertoire overseas. Build and maintain strong relationships with the music industry – e.g. in A&R, record labels, publishers and management.• Investigate and bring-in partnership and sponsorship opportunities that help the core functions of member retention and acquisition. Create and deliver events to support team functions.• Weekly examination of the UK and global music market, by genre, to identify potential member acquisitions. Act as a public face and a point of contact at internal and external industry events within the UK and on an international level.• Proactive acquisition of potential and existing high earning songwriter members.• Build and maintain strong working relationships with the organisation’s business units including Legal, Marketing, PR, Member Services and International.• Monthly and quarterly reporting of all current and prospective membership activity including acquisitions and targets, of team projects and industry developments.• Pick and present notable new members to the Board, members and industry via M magazine, intranet and social networking sites. Liaise with PR and Communications to write features and interviews for M, M online and our social networking sites.
