It is my firm belief that curiosity is one of the best ways to gain knowledge. One phrase I enjoy borrowing from children is “But, why?” Kids are never satisfied with one answer, and neither am I. As a current student majoring in Accounting at the University of Florida, it is crucial for me to let my curiosity shine and ask questions in order to truly understand all the information that is being provided to me. As I gain the skills and knowledge required to enter the public accounting field, I want to use my curiosity and analytical skills to make a difference in my community. Recently, I found myself wondering why there wasn't an organization for Black accounting majors at my school. After figuring out the answer, a few students and I decided to reinstate the University of Florida’s chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants. Through this organization, we hope to answer difficult questions such as, “How can we get more minorities in the field of Accounting?” and provide students with resources to succeed in their careers. When I am not studying or working, I enjoy watching classic movies, golfing, and playing basketball. My top 5 Clifton Strengths are: Discipline, Developer, Analytical, Arranger, Positivity
