Efficiency for Access (E4A) is a global coalition managed by CLASP and the Energy Saving Trust (EST). Its mission is to accelerate clean energy access by promoting affordable, high-performing, and inclusive appliances. E4A is funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) of the UK and the IKEA Foundation. I am currently engaged in the Clean Energy Access (CEA) Program with CLASP's India and East Africa team, focusing on four key dimensions: Economic Empowerment, Agriculture, Technology, and Finance.- Leading the LEIA program in India, focusing on deploying PURE technologies within rural micro-enterprises, building evidence for upscaling sustainable innovations in weak/off-grid (diesel) rural regions across energy, food, and agriculture sectors.- Leading the India work on the usability testing of energy efficient e-cooking appliances in urban regions (energy and food sector) under the Global LEAP Awards 2024.

CLASP is an international nonprofit organization which provides technical and policy support to governments worldwide and works to design and implement energy efficiency standards and labels (S&L) for appliances, lighting, and equipment. In addition to its work in Standards and Labels (S&L), CLASP is involved in various projects and programs related to energy access and climate change, funded by philanthropic organizations, governments, and bilateral institutions. The organization was created in 1999 as a strategic cooperation of three organizations – the Alliance to Save Energy (ASE), the International Institute for Energy Conservation (IIEC), and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). I am managing a MAF (McArthur Foundation) funded project on enabling inclusive climate transition through capacity building of CSOs in India including building evidence for scaling up PURE technologies, replicability and ecosystem creation for rapid deployment of clean energy programs for economic and climate resilience. Additionally, I am working with CLASP India Climate team on developing Appliance Disposal guidelines under BEE Standards & Label Check Testing Program and conducting policy analysis to compare regulatory compliance across different countries for energy efficiency.Check out the attached links for more information.

I specialize in conducting focused policy research and analysis for the National Economic Forum, delving into diverse themes such as Bamboo Economy, Digital Economy, Foreign Direct Investments, Renewable Energy, and Green Hydrogen. Additionally, I provide dedicated assistance to the leadership in establishing institutional collaborations and knowledge partnerships. I was the part of the core team based in energy access vertical responsible for analyzing, synthesizing, and drafting global good practices and insights in the Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE) sector. Our work is in preparation for the G20 India Presidency Summit in 2023, where we aim to showcase the most effective approaches and lessons learned from across the globe in the field of Decentralized Renewable Energy.
