Telecommunications Equipment Technician
Current-Assess work assignments (ordering, pre-configuration, on-site installation, and service) provided by the ticketing system and maintain communications with head office support, ticketing, and supervisors regarding the diagnosis/solution(s) provided.-Spec, quote, install, test, arrange, remove, and maintain telephone equipment, including main PBX, wiring, and associated hardware (end-points).-Spec, assist with ordering, install, and configure Starlink (and other internet services as appropriate) equipment for integration with customers’ networks and PBX/telecommunication devices.-Diagnose and/or correct all technical problems (PBX configuration, end-point troubleshooting, both on-site and remote) to the satisfaction of the customer and in accordance with company specifications at subscribers' premises.-Test installed telephone systems to locate transmission faults.-Install, remove, and maintain various telecommunications peripheral equipment and related systems such as facsimile machines, cellular telephones (iPhone/Android), iPads, pagers, and other telecommunications equipment depending on clients' requirements.-Maintain clear and consistent communications (both verbally and via written reports/text messages) with other company personnel for the proper completion of installation/service orders and tickets.-Maintain and complete company documentation pertaining to calls in accordance with department processes and standards.-Proficiently managed enterprise-level computers and servers, optimizing performance through adept utilization of virtual machines, specifically VMware Esxi and workstations.-Executed flawless installation and configuration of enterprise-level hardware from Ubiquiti and Cisco, tailoring solutions for small to medium offices.-Proficiently managed cloud-based solutions, including Office 365 and Google Workspace, to drive collaborative and agile work environments.
