My main tasks were:- Assert that the on-board software was implemented according to the software requirements specifications via analysis, inspection or test- Create and update the test specifications (documentation) and the test procedures (scripts in Java)- Cross-checking of the test updates- Detailed report of the bugs, findings or unexpected behaviours of the softwareTechnologies: Java, C, PUS Services
On Board Sw Engineer
For the On-Board Software of a Geo telecommunications satellite, I was in charge of the development of the star tracker controller. My main tasks were:- The refining of the software requirements - The elaboration of the detailed design in the Universal Modelling Language (UML)- The coding in C, MISRA-C compliant. That included the implementation of custom PUS services and the TC/TM of the star tracker via the MILBUS-1553- The task was completed with a suite of unit testsTechnologies: C, MISRA-C, MILBUS-1553, UML
Internship
Internship about the modelling of the SpaceWire and SpaceFibre Traffic on NS-3.In particular I designed and implemented an ECSS-E-50-11C (SpaceFibre) compliant network simulator based on NS-3. That included the several layers of the protocol stack, end nodes and routers. Another task was to perform the acceptance tests of a SpaceWire network simulator coupled with the avionic test bench (ATB) of the ExoMars TGO.Technologies: C++, NS-3, Python, SpaceWire, SpaceFibre
Intern
Internship on the study and development of a base station for the reception of ARGOS messages. ARGOS is a satellite based tracking and communication system used in environmental studies and for the protection of seas. The goal of the internship was double: first to analyse the implications of an hybrid system with a double link ground-sat and ground-ground, and second the design of a prototype of a ground station transceiver based on a Software Defined Radio (SDR).My main tasks were:- A feasibility study trading link budget, interference and overall network capacity based on the current ARGOS 2&3 against other IoT protocols- Design of the RF fronted and selection of the RF hardware (antennas, filters, LNA, limiters, etc. ) for a demonstrator of an ARGOS ground station,- Generation of synthetic ARGOS signals with Matlab- Design of custom reception blocks with GNU-RADIO

Research Intern - Star Identification And Tracker Algorithms
Fellow working on ADCS (Attitude Determination and Control System) on the study, design and integration of an star tracker for the Nano Satellite and Payload Laboratory at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) - BarcelonaTECH (Department of Signal Theory and Communications - Remote Sensing LAB)The 3CAT-2 is a 6 Unit CubeSat that carries a GNSS-R main payload designed and build by the UPC-BarcelonaTech. It also carries an experimental Magnetometer for the future ESA's LISA mission and a Star Tracker as secondary payloads. It is in orbit since August 2016.My main tasks were:- Research the state of the art of star identification and tracking algorithm- In Matlab, develop a tool for the generation of photorealistic images of a star field- In Matlab, implement and compare the performances of several star identification algorithms- In C, design and implement a tool for the stars identification and attitude determination from an imageTechnologies: Matlab, C
Web Applications Developper For Research Surveys
6 months part-time internship on the development of a web application for the realisation of studies based on daily surveys. - Development of the web application backend with Java Playframework- Development of a responsive frontend with JQuery, Angular JS and Backbone- Integration of an external API to send SMS as part of the surveys- Unit tests and deployment
Intern
