I am passionate about innovation in its broadest sense: the effect caused when we transform things by introducing novelty.I am actively working on the implementation of new technologies and processes, mainly applied to the waste sector, trying to turn the strange creed that considers waste management as an activity "without right" to being managed as any industrial process and claiming for the imperative need to adopt the industry 4.0 approach into the sector.I am responsible for the management of a wide portfolio of innovation projects whose common challenge is to transform the waste management, providing ground breaking solutions to be applied into the different business units of Ferrovial Services at international level.My experience began in 1995, at WT Center of Can Mata (Barcelona), our largest waste treatment plant and a benchmark in the sector, where I was Business Director for more than 6 years.The following 15 years, from 2001 to 2016, I held the position of Head of Technical Department of waste treatment of the former Cespa (Agbar-Suez), acquired by Ferrovial in 2008. There, I worked side by side with a multidisciplinary team of experts sharing best practices in many different treatment technologies. I gained a large technical background developing more than 250 projects for the more than 120 facilities of Ferrovial, world leader in infrastructure management.I am a member of various national and international technical associations of reference in the environmental sector, I participate as a speaker in conferences and events related to waste and as a professor of Master Programs in Universities such as UPM, UPC or UCLM.After 25 years dedicated to the waste, environment and innovation sector, I am still looking to the future with passion. I share the view of E. Ferrari “I’ve never been an engineer or inventor, I just I think a promoter and agitator of ideas”. Maybe that's why I'm one of those people who always think that the best is yet to come
