My role within engineering is focused on improving internal processes so our engineers can focus on developing great solutions for our business clients. Since joining, I've lead two complex projects to success. With the first, we streamlined the workflow for invoicing and payments so we can retire some legacy systems, freeing up manhours and money spent maintaining them. With the second, I lead the entire engineering team in moving off a massive single Subversion repository and Crucible code-review to a modern, git powered repository server powered by Atlassian Stash with code review baked right into the branching and merging model. Making tools depended on by internal users may not be 'glamorous', but I certainly find it rewarding to see every engineer benefiting from the choices I am trusted to make.

After Xdrive Technologies ended in bankruptcy, its assets were purchased by a member of the board and I was called to return as part of the now 4 man engineering team. Over the course of 3 years, we rebuilt Xdrive, migrating off Weblogic 5.1 to JBoss, adding great features for our users like music streaming, folder upload, photo albums and over 30 new features. Thanks to our hard work, we sold the company to AOL in the summer of 2005.

Day to day technical direction for client-side development of the Xdrive web interface. Responsible for the creation of numerous guest facing features.

Served a four year tour with the USMC, stationed in Twentynine Palms, CA where I supported an active set of intranet applications through a publicly accessible web presence. Awarded numerous achievement medals for the design of several of these systems, some of them supported new member orientation, logistical operations and an end-to-end award processing system.
