I conceive, plan, develop, and oversee the implementation, monitoring, and review of all aspects of the exhibition and digital program aligned with the Museum’s vision and strategic direction. I am responsible for authoring, shaping, and imaginatively expressing the design aesthetics of the institution throughout our spaces. I am a member of the Senior Leadership Team and act as a spokesperson on behalf of NCMNS exhibition programs, to internal stakeholders such as staff, the board, and external stakeholders such as donors and supporters.

I oversee all temporary and permanent exhibit development, design, fabrication,installation, and maintenance for the Museum galleries. Maintaining a creative and supportive atmosphere, I play an active role in the interpretive messages and their overarching intellectual framework, theme, design, and aesthetic treatment.

I manage and coordinate work in the development, design, production, installation, and evaluation of exhibitions. Projects include exhibit design, graphic design, digital media, interactive design, signage, wayfinding, and more. Most of our graphic and exhibit projects are produced in-house, but I work with contracted fabricators as needed. I strive to create engaging, well-designed experiences for museum exhibits, while at the same time ensuring that educational objectives are met and projects stay within budget and on schedule. I chair the Wayfinding Task Force where we have evaluated the current signage and are developing an improved wayfinding system for visitors to confidently navigate the Museum's two buildings.

Graphic designer for the Exhibits department at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences. I worked in the research, development, design, production, fabrication, installation and evaluation of the Museum’s permanent and temporary exhibitions, digital media, and signage. Exhibit projects include a mix of scientific illustration, video, audio, lighting, interactive, 3D modeling, real specimens, live species and artifacts. I worked to ensure the graphics and signage provide accurate scientific information that is communicated effectively for a diverse general public that have varying knowledge of or familiarity with the natural sciences.

As an intern in the exhibits department, I developed an identity for the Our Expanding Oceans exhibition and collaborated on signage and designs for new exhibits in the Nature Research Center, which opened in April 2012.In the Marketing department, I redesigned the Educator's Guide to the Museum, a 40-page booklet sent to NC science teachers, to a new size and layout. I helped create spreads in the Naturalist Magazine, and picked up other design projects as needed.

I redesigned the website and updated it regularly as pieces were sold and new pieces were brought in. I worked with local newspapers and magazines to design advertisements and promotional materials for the gallery, as well as provide any in-house graphic needs.

Durham, Nc

Woodville is an online, custom wooden jewelery shop located in Durham N.C. I airbrushed and hand-painted the jewelry after it was laser-cut. I helped to create a custom designs that online customers would request for their jewelry.

I worked as a page layout designer for N.C. State’s student newspaper to put together 1-2 spreads per night to meet the 12am printer deadline. I worked with newspaper editors, writers, and photographers to ensure the page was coming together as planned.
