Took a platform approach to build revenue levers for the company by not only delivering several high impact Conversion X Realisation ( CxR ) projects but also reducing the rework required to develop core functionalities. In my role of Director of Engineering for enterprise device connectivity platform , my responsibilities include:1. Primary owner in BLR development center to lead the transition of monolithic on-premise (legacy) solutions to microservices based architecture which can be readily deployed on private/public cloud. Led the continuous integration & DevOps efforts during the cloud transition journey by securing the legacy architecture’s quality using automation.2. Heavily engaged in defining the quality of the code and client availability in a cloud paradigm by working on SLI’s, SLO’s and error budgets.3. Introduced observability into the cloud solutions using New Relic monitoring policies, Splunk, Elastic etc. This ensured that post the cloud transition the team was able to proactively fix several issues even before the client could report it. 4. Led the transformation of product development across the BU’s via SAFe. Introduced the concept of True North, Strategies & Initiatives to create and execute the product roadmap for the CareAware platform. As a result of this, teams delivered with 95 % accuracy and reduced toil due to priority changes in roadmap etc.5. Led key CareAware validation program and integration projects with device manufacturers like GE, Philips, Welch Allyn, Copan Diagnostics, Roche, CapsuleTech, Bernoulli etc.

Leading additional responsibility to create the technical vision of the Emerging Markets team in India.As a part of this team, I:1. Conceptualised and set up a first of its kind pilot for Remote ICU .This included data syndication from medical devices & running clinically intelligent algorithms on ‘data in motion’ to reduce ​Alarm Fatigue ​of intensivists and nurses on duty.2. Set up an ambulatory EMR along with device connectivity in a mobile setting (on 4G) in Mumbai, India as part of a CSR collaboration with Siemens.

Led the development of tenant aware microservices ( Java & RESTful API's ) which are continuously delivered & cloud deployed.This paved the way for applications built on the platform ( Fetal monitoring , patient monitoring , Infusion Management , Vitalslink etc ) to be centrally deployed as well.Worked extensively with i.s.h. Med SAP teams in Europe to enable device connectivity workflows in i.s.h. Med and Medico EMR’s. Also, conceptualised integration using SMART on FHIR APIs for EMR agnostic integration for European markets.Leading the end to end delivery of a 40 member team within my existing span and was given additional responsibility to take the Medical Devices organization from 25 to 97. Was the single point of contact b/w the WHQ and BLR center and got the organization recruited and on path for delivery within 4 months of the start of the assignment. During this time, worked extensively with various stakeholders to define metrics and solid design patterns for development of the transitioning solutions.

Led the design and development team to build Java microservices on the platform to enable variousworkflows leveraging data from medical devices.Led the development of ‘Storage Tracking’ application for lab automation at Kaiser Permanente while working with robotics line vendors such as Labotix, Copan diagnostics.

Led the medical device driver’s team which supported a rich driver library of 600+ vendor/models inlaboratory, bedside monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps & waveform devices.During this phase, took proactive initiatives with the team in up-skilling to Java and deliver on the new enterprise device connectivity platform of Cerner.Was also given additional responsibilities of the Foreign System Interfaces (HL7) where I led the integration efforts with 3rd party systems from UK for ‘Choose and Book’ appointments​.

Became the SME of the medical device driver’s team and was nominated for the “​Talent ExchangeProgram​” to WHQ in Kansas City.Spent 6 months in WHQ, working through the architecture and got heavily involved with the Product and Support teams in US to bring systemic changes in the code base which resulted in 80% reduction in SR’s in a solution area​.

Worked on design and coding of medical device drivers using C/C++ used in laboratory and patient monitoring solutions. Also wrote core architecture servers to manage workflows of device connectivity in the EMR.Was awarded the Annual Award - Star Performer for exceptional contribution to the product and being the first line of defense for all issues related to the solution.
