Title: Wind turbine blade trailing-edge noise reduction at high Reynolds number and lift conditions using serrations Conducted experiments in wind tunnels involving acoustic measurement and 3D tomographic PIV and analyzed the data using MATLAB and Tecplot. Obtained surface pressure fluctuations beneath a turbulent boundary layer by utilizing the time-resolved 3D velocity field captured by tomographic PIV using helium-filled soap bubbles as tracer particles. The present technology of 3d pressure fluctuations in a turbulent flow, from a direct 3D PIV measurements, could be used to calculate aeroacoustic noise. Hence, It could be used to design better and more effective aeroacoustic noise reduction devices.

 Contributed in the structural optimization – minimize the total weight of the structure under the given loads, of ‘A’ frame rack for glass transport using Abaqus FEA. Developed a technique for quantification of mirror corrosion by utilizing images of the corroded mirror in Matlab. Developed a methodology using predictive modeling in Matlab for process quality improvement of the flat glass manufacturing line. Occasionally carried out room acoustic simulations for projects related to indoor noise solution (in ODEON) to assess the effectiveness of acoustic panels. Planning and setting up experiments for energy efficiency and heat transfer modeling in glazed buildings to develop new products for the hot and humid climate.
