As the Founder and Chairman of Mamora Bay Int'l Holdings and Founder/CEO of Lion Management Services I bring over 40 years of entrepreneurial and CEO organizational leadership experience to the diversified investment company and management consulting firm. I specialize in private equity & venture capital and mergers, acquisitions and exit strategies advisory services for strategic growth and development of our global clientele and worldwide capital investors and partnerships.With a proven track record of founding, funding, financing, developing and exiting successful businesses across various sectors and regions of the globe, I aim to inspire and influence others with positive change and impactful leadership. I leverage my expertise, education, and skillset to grow and develop both people and their businesses, to create value for our clients, partners, and stakeholders. I have authored several books and papers on entrepreneurship, leadership, business development, global economics, and influence and referent power in leadership roles. I am passionate about mentoring and advising emerging entrepreneurs, students, and professionals, and serving on various boards and not for profit organizations. I consider myself a benevolent capitalist, ethical culturist, and an activist in undertakings that align with my values.Considered by my peers as an authority on U.S.-China business relations (both commercial and political), international trade and finance, my career started in the early 1980's as a trader of commodities in the Asian and China markets for a well-known, long-established Wall St based privately held family office and trading firm.Five years later, at just 26, I left the firm to embark on a very rewarding career and founded Sino American Trading Inc which ultimately morphed into the globally diverse, SATCORP Int'l Group. Over the course of the next 20 years, I navigated SATCORP's growth to include having 19 offices in 14 countries with sales exceeding One Billion USD. I sold the company in 2006 and took a sabbatical in order to care for my cancer-stricken wife and help raise our children.I un-retired in 2011 and since my re-entry, I have successfully developed over a dozen entities globally for my Mamora Bay Holdings, LION Management Services, and AUTUS Capital Partners.

    I co-founded and developed this global trade venture dedicated to US / China trade at 26 years old after leaving a promising career at a well-respected global commodity trading to pursue my “inner entrepreneur” The company was an immediate success particularly in trade development and consulting for major corporations and government entities in the People's Republic of China.My first structured joint venture took form in in 1987 in which was a JV between a US Petrochemical Company and the Lanzhou Oil Refinery, a subsidiary of Sinopec, China. In the same year, my company was hired as trade consultant to the South Carolina State Ports Authority, The Port of Charleston, and worked with the South Carolina State Development Board. Within a short time, I founded Satcorp Shipping Corp, which was an FMC licensed freight forwarding company, servicing both the business of Sino American Trading Corp, and other US firms that started to export to China. I personally obtained the FMC license and in turn hired a staff to offer forwarding services, ship chartering, general cargo transport and logistical support services. We ultimately opened a warehouse in Charleston SC, an office in Los Angeles, an office in Memphis (in the LDC/Allenberg Cotton Offices).I sold this freight company within 3 years of its founding and development to concentrate on the fast-growing trading business that turned Sino-American into a widely recognized global trading entity that subsequently went worldwide and was renamed SATCORP.

    Ventex Industries was founded and developed by James to compliment various joint ventures which were the result of opportunities found by Satcorp International Group. The main focus of these partnerships were to be a domestic raw material supplier in the North American markets. Ventex imported raw materials into its own inventory account as a trade distributor, to sell into the North American markets to producers hedging against domestic US pricing. Ventex also developed an intra North American trade unit, and represented Mexican and US chemical and petrochemical producers on long term contracts of fibers, yarns and polymers. Ventex Industries represented raw material suppliers and producers to market off quality products in the domestic North American markets and abroad. I had to terminate my daily activities in this company in order to tend to the family health earlier described.

    Recruited from the China Ocean Shipping Co to be the manager of material and logistics for this highly established import and export trade house. After just a year in this capacity, I was promoted to General Manager, moved to the executive floor and was asked to build a profit center for the company in trade and transport in the Peoples Republic of China. Worked with the EVP and SVP, but directly for the President in building business channels and businesses that ultimately generated more than a million dollars in profits in the first year! I was then asked to manage the Asia businesses, and subsequently traveled to China, Hong Kong (had a private office in HK) and Seoul, Korea. I traveled half of my tenure to assist in trading missions and manage certain aspects of the overseas trade offices. I was later asked to assist in the partnership between Scheuer Int'l and Allenberg Cotton. I managed the main details of a very lucrative but difficult trade which ultimately became the catalyst of Scheuer being bought by Allenberg's owners, The Louis Dreyfus Company. I departed in LDC in 1986, to start my own business at just 26 years old. I saw an opportunity in China and created Sino-American Trading Corp.
