I am currently engaged in research on the toxicity and ecotoxicity of nanomaterials and various chemicals, with the goal of developing detailed toxicological profiles. Additionally, I participate in the Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) program for the safe and sustainable development of new materials and products. I am involved in creating products with antimicrobial, antifungal, and virucidal properties, such as innovative paints and disinfectants. My previous experience includes developing colorimetric and electrochemical biosensors, as well as biological fuel cells. I have worked with plant viruses and in identifying secondary metabolic pathways in Lotus spp. and lichens of the genus Trebouixa under saline stress conditions.I am proficient in a wide range of techniques in molecular biology, cell culture, and the cultivation of aquatic organisms such as algae and Daphnia. My skills include designing two-hybrid systems, RNA extraction, qPCR, PCR, plasmid construction, and sequencing. Additionally, I have experience with standardized assays such as OECD protocols 201, 202, 405, 439, 442, among others.
