Scaled up the process from proof of concept to pilot plant scale. • Designed and constructed a novel low temperature electrolytic cell to recover molten sodium metal from a stream of sodium sulfide. Optimized cell design and performance during the development period to minimize operational and capital costs.• Conducted process simulations and cost analysis for full-scale heavy oil upgrading facilities. • Prepared techno-economic analysis and process simulation of electrochemical generation of ammonia fuel for grid storage applications • Investigated electrolyte liquid systems for low temperature sodium-sulfur rechargeable batteries.
