Experience in the field specifically in the entire Permian Basin knowing different geological plays.Main Responsibilities:-Be Familiar with diverse operator policies and SOPs(Chevron, Occidental petroleum, Exxon Mobile, Conoco Phillips, Continental Resources, Diamondback, Trinity Operating etc).-Expertise in interpretation of Gamma Ray logs for prediction of lithology in target formations and assist with directional driller with critical decisions.-Profiency in logging programs such TLog(Vertical and Horizontal creating geologic cross-sections with MWD and rock/gas data), MainLog, and Microsoft office, with excellent general computer skills.-Stay up 3 months working straight in a drilling location following project PADs,attend to safety meetings, perform rig-up and rig-down activities.-Assist the Operations Geologist with troubleshooting and questions in the drilling location-Operate and maintain air and electric agitator motors, diverse Mudlogging equipment (RedBox,GreenBox, YellowBox) LinkBox, Mass Spectrometer, FID Gas Chromatograph and other related tools to ensure accurate data collection and analysis.-Able to read and understand MWD surveys, Geosteering Surveys (in case to build geologic cross section for lateral wells), mud reports and more drilling data.-Predict dangerous situations, such as over-pressured formations(looking tendences in connection gases), Tight spots( high-Low differential pressures), BHA issues(Low ROP and lack diff pressure), Lithology that can affect our formations(Pyrite, Ash, Dolomite etc) ,and H2S presence( knowledge of the main formations with H2S in the Permian Basin).-Propper use of the lag calculation using different configurations of the well in real time.-Knowledge of wellbore hydraulics and effects on cuttings and gas.
