Mwd Field Engineer
CurrentAs an MWD Engineer in the oil and gas industry, my expertise lies in managing and maintaining advanced downhole measurement tools and technology, crucial for precise wellbore placement during drilling. This role has endowed me with a deep understanding of wellbore dynamics, including direction, angle, pressure, and temperature monitoring, alongside the interpretation of geological and drilling data. My collaboration with drilling teams ensures accurate data collection and analysis, vital for optimizing drilling operations.• Management of the MWD equipment inventory and supervision of the equipment transportation to and out of the work site.• Checking, testing, assembling and installing tools and equipment in the field.• Follow geosteering plans for drilling operations to ensure optimal well placement and production• Maintains all MWD tools and analyzes every collected data from the drilling process.• Analyze and interpret logging data to guide drilling operations and make real-time decisions• Communicate with Directional Driller, Drilling Supervisor, Rig Manager, Mud Engineer and Well-Site Geologist to ensure successful data collection• Monitor real-time data while drilling and execute the objectives set out in pre-job modeling process;• Daily support for the Polaris logging and ERDOS MILLER software, including well logs, LAS and general data loading. Be aware of formation tops and zone data loading, signal troubleshooting etc.• Supervision of MWD processes such as tool preparation, data acquisition, and quality control and proffer methods of improvement.• Provide support to the operator company along with other third party for interpretation of Logs, maps, cross sections, contour maps, data import/export/research/entry and analysis, activity tracking, layer files, reports, etc. as required.
