Software Development ManagerGlobalsis Aug 2022 - PresentBuenos Aires Province, ArgentinaI have had a professional relationship with Globalsis since at least 2008. Was back then when Edenred selected the Globalsis services of FacturaYa.I’ve managed the integration process back then, from the Edenred side. Now, here at Globalsis, I’m now managing the software development team. I’m happy, as I’m being able to manage a team that build core solutions for our customers. We’re currently working on some great projects with varios customers in Argentina and Uruguay. We’re also in a migration process for one of our customers with a company based in Finland and Sweden, so a great chance to have contact with their culture and trying to learn a bit of Finnish and Swedish in the process (well, to be honest a bit for now, but nevertheless loving it).We also run the FacturaYa brand and their invoicing services for almost 100 customers, among those customers we can encounter the ones such as:X-28, Village Cines (now Cinepolis), Finning, 3M, Avery Dennison, Visa, Edenred (my previous professional family), and much more. -
Software Development ManagerEdenred Argentina Jun 2017 - Mar 2021Buenos Aires Province, ArgentinaI was promoted to Software Development Chief and I’ve also led the Project Management Office. As the company as a whole was on a path to consolidate their software development efforts in some instances in a global level and in some instances on a regional way, our main tasks were to maintain and evolve the Customer, Merchant and Invoicing modules and to make the necessary integrations with the regional or global solutions.Integrations that spawned projects with:Mastercard in ArgentinaPPS (Pre Paid Solutions, an Edenred subsidiary) on England.Nectar (M&A) on Nicaragua.SyC on Mexico.Mobile App for Restaurant Card on France.Great experience, no doubt. Really and truly loved all the international contact. But, as on one side I was feeling that I didn’t want to manage only integrations efforts but to be part of a team that actually build core solutions. That and the fact that we’ve move the offices to the neighboring city of Vicente Lopez, it was just a matter of time for me to get tired of the much longer commute. So, it was time to leave what I’ve undoubtedly felt it was my amazing family at Edenred and spread my wings into the unknown and head to the next chapter of my professional life. Probably the most difficult decision I’ve ever had to made on that dimension as I really loved, and I still do love my professional family at Edenred. -
Project LeaderEdenred Argentina Mar 2013 - May 2017Buenos Aires Province, ArgentinaI took the responsibility of being the project lead for the project that I was part of as an analyst. The project was about the migration of the existing mobility solution and the integration of the Customer, Merchant and Invoice modules of the Argentinian branch with the new mobility solution developed by the LATAM region based on the Brazilian branch.I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity and the experience that came with it. For sure, at that time, my greatest professional experience. The team had, at its peak, about 10+ people on our branch.Later on, as the load of the project diminished, I took the project lead for the maintenance and evolution of the Customers management and Customer Invoicing modules. -
Software AnalystEdenred Argentina Oct 2010 - Feb 2013Buenos Aires Province, ArgentinaThis was my first opportunity to work on an international team within the company and to endure a severe restructuring for the company as a whole.I had been part of the most important project for the company during those years. As Ticket Canasta and Restaurant became non viable products after a legislation that revoked their utility was passed. The Argentinian brach was reduced from 350 employees, across the four different offices on the cities of Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Rosario and Mar del Plata to 75 employees in order to be able to became profitable again. It was a great challenge and an honor to be part of the key people that was selected to remain on the nascent company. The project that I was part of, was made with the Brazilian Branch of the company. They’ve develop the new solution for the mobility services and our task was to do the integration with every module within our branch. As I mentioned before, it was a great opportunity to become a part of an international team, to become more resilient and to learn Portuguese in the process. -
Software DeveloperEdenred Argentina Mar 2005 - Sep 2010Buenos Aires Province, ArgentinaDuring this tenure my contribution was made on pretty much every software module across the company.I had worked with and learned from four different project leads, that combined together they covered all the software modules at the company. My contribution was made by doing mainly software analysis and development for products such as Ticket Canasta and Ticket Restaurant.I’ve had contributed with analysis and code for the following modules:Customer and Merchant ManagementCustomer and Merchant InvoiceCustomer Debt CollectionCustomer and Merchant Tax CollectionTicket IssuingTicket PrintingTicket ReimbursementPurchase ManagementInstitutional WebsiteWeb for Ticket Order ProcessingElectronic Invoice for Customers and Merchants. Integration via SOAP Web Services with third party software solution from Globalsis. -
Customer Services SpecialistEdenred Argentina Mar 2000 - Feb 2005Buenos Aires Province, ArgentinaOrder processing and order processing automation development (this last part on my own time).I successfully, designed, developed and implement a software solution for order processing automation, on my own time. The software was used to process about 180 M usd/year in orders and was used by a team of around 20 people on the Customer Support & Orders Processing area. After the successfull implementation of the order processing automation software I was then entrusted with the development of a purchasing application (not being part of the development area). I've receive an award for going above and beyond my duties, by the Development Manager & the CFO.I was then transfer to the software development area. This tenure was a really enriching and fulfilling experience.Note: The company wasn't actually Edenred back then. It was the B2B services division from Accor. A French multinational that had run it's two businesses from the same company: The Hospitality branch with 4000+ hotels in 95 countries and a B2B services branch for Employee Benefits, Mobility solutions and Corporate Payment. I was part of the B2B services branch.Much later on, on June 29 2010 Edenred was founded to separate the two businesses that had little relation with each other, and two complete different Business models. Accor kept the hospitality business and Edenred took the B2B services.
