My name is Javier Perez and I have always had a passion for creating and helping others. I attended Houston Community College where I obtained an Associates' degree in Audio Engineering in 2018. Through which I have had the ability to obtain constant exposure and knowledge of ProTools, Ableton, Logic, and other pro-level DAW's for 4 years. In my pursuits in audio engineering, I have been able to become familiar with all aspects of audio, audio production, and live sound audio. I have been a live sound engineer for New Life Church since 2017 and have gained great knowledge during my time there. These include patching, problem-solving under pressure, system setups, sound system setup, troubleshooting, microphone/equipment maintenance, management, and communication skills. I interned at Wire Road Studios got exposed to pro-level knowledge of music studios and the audio industry. I was trained in their different studio rooms and became an independent audio engineer working out of Wire Road Studios. I have worked retail at Heights Vinyl and ran open mic nights for the store, learning how to do logistics and manage shows. In the fall of 2019, I transferred to attend the University of Houston to learn more about media production whether that is News broadcasting, Sports Broadcasting, Cinematography, Radio shows, and Video editing. I graduate Fall of 2021 and I am ready to become a part of something greater than myself.
