Worked as Development Manager, leading the development of a Smart Home System. Developed the following parts of the system:- Gateway Hardware and Firmware: PIC32 based device with Ethernet connectivity.- RF Proprietary Protocol: Lightweight, multi-hop mesh ad hoc network with self healing.- Node.js + MongoDB + Redis based backend: realtime application using websockets and thePub/Sub pattern. The implementation includes APIs for devices, apps and admin panel.Capable of handling thousands of concurrent connected devices.- Web App and Admin Panel frontend (jQuery/BackboneJs based Single Page Applications).- Also participated in the development of the rest of the system (Power Meter, Thermostat and Electric Heater Controller).Developed custom AT91SAM9G20 based board with Linux Embedded Operating System for aRemote Street Lighting Control Application, including customized BSP and basic drivers as add-onmodules (e.g. pulse counter driver).

Developed Hardware and Firmware of the following set of devices:- Koban KAR-01: panel mount 3-phase power analyzer.- Koban KAR-02: din rail mount 3-phase power analyzer with RS485-Modbus connectivity.- Koban KPW-01: current clamp with flash card sampled signal recording. Also developed C#desktop application to display the recorded signals.- Koban KGA16: Win-CE embedded device for Remote Street Lighting Control Applications.

Participated in SILOP Project (National R&D of Spain), which consisted in the development of anindoor Localization System for pedestrian Navigation with wearable sensors (more info athttp://simur.dieecs.com/projects/silop). As a result, 3 papers were published (see publications)

Developed Hardware and Firmware of a Home Electric Heating Remote Control System by SMSfor the market leader Farho (http://www.farho.com). The system (known as Farho Xana Plus)consisted on a Controller Board for every heater in the home and a gateway endowed with a GSMModem. RF based communication between gateway and controllers.
