Design, develop and implement new Optical Fiber Assembly Processes as NPI Engr., responsible to support and coordinate all site activities with MFG, Quality & Operations departments, evaluating the product design validation and its manufacturability, working with PM & PLM including the calculation of capacity required based on demand, PFMEA, layouts, tooling, working instruction, training, routings and BoM’s validation in order to be implemented in SAP System and Process Release. Accomplishments: - 6 Fiber Products Validation and implementation in COMMSCOPE Juárez site.

Support and coordinate the implementation of new flexible Gel injection equipment including layouts, Operation, adjust and equipment instructions, PFMEA, training and process release. Responsible to support all process activities in Extrusion, Gel Injection, and CNC Area. Design, develop and implement of a model to calculate the capacity of Molding, Extrusion, and Gel Injection areas based on diversity of models, cycle times, head count, and the customer demand, allow us to determinate machines utilization, Head Count, Production Shifts, and Improve Projects. Design and implement improves on Plastics and Gel Production Lay Outs, Ergonomic Workstations, and Visual Aids displayed by monitors. Validation of Routings and BoM’s in order to implement SAP System in COMMSCOPE. Create, Control and Implement Product Engineering Changes. Accomplishments: - Implementation of new Flexible Gel Injection equipment and Processes. - Increase of 20% output of Gel injection Processes. - Design and develop a Model to calculate current and projection capacity for the Molding, Extrusion and Gel Injection areas. - Implement and improve of Processes Lay outs including Kanban.

Design, develop and implement new Assembly Processes for NPI. Transfer Assembly Processes from China to Juárez Plant. Responsible to design, improve and implement lay outs of New Production Assembly Lines and cells base on Lean Manufacturing Techniques like Standard Work, Kaizen, GEMBA, VSM, Visual Factory Management, Teamwork, Pull Systems, Error Proofing Poka Yokes, Kanban,SMED, 5’S, and validate the line release in base on IQ, PQ, and OQ. Responsible to the Line balancing and assurance of production output on time and quality. Design, buy, and implement fixtures and tool for Manufacturing Process. Coordinate and create the PFMEA of the product. Provide work instruction sheets, visual aids, flow charts and learning curves. Calculate and provide the Head Count and Standard Hours for Manufacturing Processes. Define the Production Line requirement according with the product demand and line capacity. Engineering changes implementation. Provide support to all production activities. Improve production line productivity. Calculate the Standard Hrs and CAPEX-NRE for new quotation products. Calculate of Plant Capacity & Head Count that include turrets, press brakes, insertion, welding, grinding, powder coat, SMT, BP press fit, and integration. Responsible to lead 5 Engineering technicians for improve the production working areas, cycle times, and OTD. Auditor ISO14001.

Develop and implement new Assembly Processes. Responsible to design lay outs of New Production Assembly Lines and cells. Improve actual Production Line lay out and coordinate the installation. Design, buy, and implement fixtures and tool for Manufacturing Process. Provide work instruction sheets, visual aids, flow charts and learning curves. Calculate and provide the Head Count and Standard Hours forManufacturing Process. Calculate Production Line requirement according with the product demand and line capacity. Coordinate the PFMEA. Participate in the FMEA with the Design Centers (Singapore, China, and Hungary). Engineering changes implementation. Responsible to create purchase requisitions and releasing purchase orders. Lean manufacturing techniques implementation (Ei: Kaizen, Just in Time, Kanban, Poka Yokes, SMED,5’S, etc.), Maintain plant lay-out in Auto Cad. Apply Ready Work Factor and MOST to design and improve workstations. Responsible of Line balancing and assurance of production output on time. Provide Process Training for production operators and technicians. Provide support to all production activities. Improve production line productivity. Participate in team work to reduce Fall Off Rate.
