About Javier Serra

Fundé IdenCity en el año 2011 con la convicción de crear un proyecto empresarial y de valor que fuera más allá del enfoque tradicional sobre las ciudades. El objetivo último era el de aportar soluciones a las ciudades y a sus ciudadanos no sólo desde un punto de vista territorial y de infraestructuras sino dentro del ámbito de desarrollo económico, medioambiental, institucional y de cohesión social. Actualmente IdenCity es una de las primeras consultoras especializadas en la construcción de visión y posicionamiento territorial, así como en el diseño de soluciones que articulan todas las dimensiones coexistentes en la ciudad.Antes de crear Idencity, fui CEO de Oportuna; Presidente de Diseño y Desarrollo de Proyectos Internet, y accionista y asesor de Apesoft, compañía de desarrollo de software y soluciones de inteligencia para negocios.También he realizado proyectos de desarrollo económico a nivel internacional. Entre otros, he sido asesor de Navti Foundation NGO, una ONG focalizada en el desarrollo rural y comunitario en Camerún, he colaborado con el Banco Mundial en programas de “slum upgrading” para la ciudad de Manila (Filipinas) y, recientemente, he sido uno de los participantes del programa “Urbanization and Sustainable Cities in China” de la New York University en Shanghai.Compartir conocimiento es otras de mis pasiones y he podido hacerlo como profesor impartiendo cursos de “Organización y Procesos de Información”, “Sistemas de Información II” y “Comercios y Mercados Electrónicos” en la FundEmi Business Institute de la Universitat Ramon LLull, en Barcelona.Cursé un Master en Planificación Urbanística (Desarrollo Económico & Internacional) en la Wagner School of Public Service de la New York University; un MBA en la University of Chicago, una Diplomatura en Administración Financiera en EADA (Barcelona) y una Licenciatura en Administración de Empresas en la Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona.
