Experience and responsibilities include:· Inspection and audit of tailings facilities;· Supervision of construction works;· Scoping and supervision of intrusive ground investigations for tailings and waste rock facilities;· Scheduling of geotechnical laboratory testing to determine the behaviour of soils beneath conventional tailings dams in the short-term (initial construction), during raising, and in the long-term;· Review and interpretation of geotechnical in-situ and laboratory testing to characterise soil properties and behaviour, and select appropriate parameters for design;· CPTu analysis using CPeT-IT program and interpretation in conjunction with borehole data;· Stability analysis of new and existing conventional tailings dams considering stress and pore pressure changes over the life of the structure (e.g. due to dam raising and tailings deposition), and under static, pseudo-static and post-seismic loading conditions;· Review and assessment of monitoring instrumentation data (survey monuments, piezometers, inclinometers, extensometers).
