Major Achievements: Started and lead the buildup of the entire Asia Operations Organization successfully executing the manufacturing capacity transition of several product categories from the WH to the EH ranging in the millions of dozens for the US market and successfully starting the platform of internal supply for the Asian Commercial Businesses. This includes not only developing the Manufacturing infrastructure and organizations, Support Functions (Logistics, Quality, Product Development, Planning, etc) from the ground up in Thailand, Vietnam and China but also helped develop and provided leadership support and guidance for the start up of the non- Operation functions (HR, Finance, IT, etc.). Footprint includes the Operation headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand, and manufacturing units in Thailand, Vietnam and China. Current headcount in these countries is over 12,000 employees and expected to almost double in a few years. The primary objective of this organization is to support the US business and the growth of the Asian commercial businesses particularly China and Japan. Overall performance of the Asia Operations organization has thus far exceeds corporate goals in very significant ways in most objectives.Scope of responsibilities: Manufacturing (circular knits, cutting, sewing, packaging), PD, Quality, Materials Planning, Engineering functions and Process Improvement, Full Package garment sourcing and others. Dotted line responsibility for Finance, HR, IT and other supporting functions.

Major Achievements: Strong Performance and Improvements in Service Levels, Financial Performance and Inventory Management through Continuous Improvement, better controls, and motivational activities across the organization. Planning and execution of major projects involving consolidation of manufacturing activities, vendor managed inventories and other operational activities within the region to improve lead times, cost performance and inventory management. Projects Implemented yielded annual savings of $13.0MM and inventory reductions of over $30MM in the Intimate Apparel & Hosiery US businesses while keeping a high service level.Scope of responsibilities: In charge of the Intimate Apparel and Hosiery Operations for the US Market and Supply Chain functions for the Mexico and Canada markets. Functions included Manufacturing (warp knit, seamless and hosiery fabric production, cutting, sewing, packaging), Purchasing and Planning operations for the US market, Mexico and Canada and Distribution operations in non-US territories. Work force in the organization totaled about 15,000 associates supporting about $1.5Billion in Sales spanning the countries of Canada, US, Mexico, Pto. Rico, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Honduras and Costa Rica and Colombia.

Major Achievements: Improved service levels from mid 80’s to lower-mid 90’s, delivered COG improvement of 2% annually for a value base of about $500MM. Successfully started the deployment of the Lean Manufacturing and ISO initiatives that were later formally adopted across the Company. Planned and executed several major manufacturing re-configuration projects transferring major production capabilities to CA and Mexico. Achieved two major awards from the Apparel and Footwear Association of America on Social Responsibility for projects established in Central America concerning development of schools in low income communities and support for children with AIDS.Main responsibilities: In charge of Intimate Apparel Manufacturing (warp knit fabrics production, cutting, sewing, packaging) in the US, Mexico and Central America with a total workforce of about 8,000 associates. Functions also included responsibility for the Intimates Apparel Quality Organization and the Intimates & Hosiery Purchasing Groups in the US. The Continuous Improvement Team (Lean and ISO Initiatives) was created to promote Lean Enterprise and ISO practices in the Intimates Organization.

Major achievements: Successful consolidation of the Central American Operations under one Management team; consolidation of several manufacturing plants to optimize cost and performance. Operating units in Honduras and Costa Rica were awarded the CEO top performance award for three consecutive years. Successfully started a renew emphasis on CSR projects that drew the recognition of local and national authorities in the region. Renewed emphasis on Organizational development programs that led to the formation of future leaders and additional functions added to the scope of the hubs and also started the foundation work for Lean Manufacturing practices in the Company. Main responsibilities: In charge of eight sewing/cutting manufacturing facilities in four countries (Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Mexico) with a total workforce of more than 6,000 employees at its highest peak.
