As part of the managerial roles, I founded the architecture and culture magazine (IN)-formA that received the Honor Award of the American Institute of Architects in 2001 and Honorary Award at the Biennale of Architecture in Puerto Rico in 2001. This magazine, the first of its kind in more than 30 years in Puerto Rico, consisted of an interdisciplinary Editorial Board with architects, philosophers, sociologists, historians, lawyers and theorists of architecture representing countries such as Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Cuba and Puerto Rico. In 2002-03, while occupying the position of Assitant Dean, De Jesus was recruited by the President of the University of Puerto Rico to create the New Office Design and Construction of the Central Administration, and the creation of the Board of Excellence in Design for Conservation and Promotion of good design in the eleven (11) University's campuses.
