I’ve always been the guy looking at things from a different perspective. And –more often than not, I’m leveraging technology and data to find and support those insights. That’s because I believe having a differential view and acting on it is what ultimately creates value in a business.I’m naturally curious and usually try to understand how things work and how to improve them (no wonder I’m an Engineer!). More importantly, I love to learn and I love the challenge of doing new things, different things. I’m always learning new things, trying to develop new skills, for my personal life and for my professional career. History, languages, new sports, data science and the list could go on for days.At work, I strive to teach, collaborate and empower others. My door is always open, there is always time for a coffee – although I prefer tea, and I will always find the time for someone that wants my help. I feel if I’m not helping somebody else learning anything new, I’m not doing my job properly. After all, a manager’s job is to put other people in a position where they can develop and succeed.Early in my career I was attracted to finance and capital markets – mainly because I’m good with numbers, and I embraced financial structuring as I found in it the possibility to channel my creativity and curiosity building complex, innovative products and got to work with lots of people in the process of building new business lines. More importantly, it made me realized I like to design and build solutions to tackle challenging problems.I’m currently building an alternative investment management business, focusing on property development and property income strategies. I’m working on the financial and technological aspects of the business. We are a small company and we are entrepreneurial, so we all do a bit of everything around here. We structure attractive investments for our clients and offer quality housing and office space solutions for our tenants. I love the fact that despite it being essentially a business where you use money to buy and rent bricks, it is incredibly intensive in people management and data analysis, and with lots of space to add value through financial structuring.
