- Responsible for establishing the design intent for all retail projects and identifying code restrictions that may affect the design for individual stores while maintaining design consistency throughout the fleet. • Develop diagrammatic sketches into feasible concept designs• Manage a diverse team of design professionals, including drafting RFP’s and overseeing consultant contracts for both domestic and international projects• Develop concept sketches into innovative and constructible projects, overseeing architectural, mechanical and structural teams.• Understand and interpret local building codes, integrating comprehensive design solutions compliant with local and regional laws.• Identify technically challenging project conditions, and develop solutions with development, procurement, and standards teams to read consistently within a constantly evolving design vocabulary. • Assist real estate and development teams to establish project schedules and initial budget assumptions.• Visit domestic and international project sites and perform in depth construction surveys.• Manage internal approval process.• Organize, update, and archive all project documentation. • Work with senior executives, store operations, real estate, and development teams to create, manage, and implement fleet wide initiatives.
